The night before my birthday my fiance gave me a gift, but I didn't open it until the next day. When I opened it , it was a blender. I was happy about it because it was something that I wished for.
Later that evening we went out for dinner on Captiva Island when we got there the resturant didn't open until 5:30. We were right across from the beach so we decided to go and watch the sunset. We still had about 15min. before it would start to set, so we walked along the beach picking up shells. Then he asked me if I had ever seen sandfleas. I said no, so he tried to find some, but the ones we saw were dead. After that it was time for the sun to set so we watched.
When it was over we still had about 15 more minutes until dark . So he tried looking for some live sandfleas. He said the way you can tell is by looking for air bubbles in the sand. I got distracted by some birds, I started to watch them and the next thing I knew my fiance ran closer the the shoreline and started digging in the sand telling me he saw some air bubbles I went and squatted beside him and said, "What are you doing"? He had a clam shell in his hand, he handed it to me and pulled out a Swiss Army knife and said here you can open your first clam, I laughed a little and said okay.
So I tryed opening it and grabbed my finger. he took it and and opened it just a little and handed it back to me and when I opened it there it was, "The Ring." I started to giggle not believing my eyes and kept repeating oh! oh! I got weak at the knees and had to squat down and I just started to laugh, giggle and cry. I was sooooo surprised.
P.S. He actually went to the grocery store and bought the clam, boiled it and cleaned it out and sealed it w/ a little bit of caulk glue.
