Where to Register

Posted by Jennifer Tressen (Jan 22,2010)

Registering for gifts is one of the most fun processes of the wedding. It’s your chance to pick out all the things you would love to own for your home as you start your new life together. This means you can go wild. Now you may not get everything you register for but there’s no harm in choosing numerous things because you never know. Generally the rule is the more people you invite to the wedding the more items is acceptable to put on the registry. While you can register at most any store these days there are some that are more popular than others and generally better overall for a variety of reasons. Here are some great choices on where to register.

Target
It’s accessible and there’s one almost everywhere so your guests can go to the store and pick out the gift if they choose. They also offer the couple a 5% back deal so that couple gets a gift card for 5% of total price of all items sold on their registry. So if guests bought $500 worth of merchandise you would receive $25 after your wedding.

Bed Bath and Beyond
One of the most wedding friendly registries out there. They have everything you need for your new home and their online shopping makes it easy for guests to have items shipped directly to your home so as to avoid having to bring the gift to the ceremony and then you having to take it home. They also have weekly coupons to please your guests.

Macys
They offer a cash back incentive program like Target plus they have a wide variety of upscale household items. Plus Macys is a well trusted store and there is one in every state so your guests likely live somewhat near one.
