Wedding Trends

Weddings make up a multi-billion dollar business so there are tons of vendors that seek to set new trends in every aspect of the wedding in order to pull in the newest of brides and get their business as they plan their wonderful special day.
Email invitations
Save money on the postage and the cost of the invitation for that matter by sending out e-vites. These email invitations are easy to design and completely free unless you use a email subscription service and consulting party. Now this only works if everyone you’re inviting has email, and well a lot of older folks do not because they haven’t caught up with the technology.
Colored dresses
No longer is the white dress the standard of weddings. Now brides are being bold and taking a chance with lots of color and not just a touch of color here and there, complete dresses in bold reds, pinks, greens, blues and more.
No flowers
Lots of brides are getting married with nothing in their hands and their bridesmaid are going bare as well. This is definitely a money saving move but it can also be seen as a statement of self confidence, a way of saying you don’t need anything to hide behind.
Breakfast weddings
Everyone loves breakfast and having a morning wedding can be fun. There’s are lots of incentives, especially from a financial perspective as vendors can work two events in the same day if yours is early thus you can likely get a price break. Plus breakfast weddings are casual and lend themselves to a pleasant but intimate setting for couples who don’t need the big party but still want everyone to get together.

I never thought I would be the crazy wedding type who would fall in love with everything about weddings. That was until I planned my own. Then it was all over, I am not obsessed with weddings. After attending, planning and being involved in numerous weddings I have learned a lot of lessons about what to do and not to do when it comes to executing the most important day of your life.
