The All Important Wedding Attire

Sure you can go with the standard wedding attire and stick with tradition. To some degree, most brides go with the traditional gown and most grooms go with the traditional tux. There's something about incorporating that tradition into your wedding day that just makes it feel special and pertinent. You can however add some unique touches or make the attire truly your own. This is your day and the choice is yours how you want to look when you are first introduced as a married couple.

This is an aspect of your wedding planning where you really want to take your time and focus on the criteria that are important to you. Don't let anybody else tell you how you should look or what you should wear, you have to go in what makes you feel comfortable and what gives you that special feeling. It's true when they say that you'll just know when you find the right gown, and for some it doesn't fit into the standard mold.

If for example you are having a beach wedding, then you may find that a traditional bridal gown just isn't right for you. If you want to get married barefoot in the sand, then perhaps a white sundress may be more fitting. If you are a bride for the second time, then you may want something simpler or more conservative. This is an area that you can truly make your own and anything goes. The bridal couple is the centerpiece for the special day and their attire can truly help to set the mood.

If you are a very relaxed and laid back couple, then consider attire that will reflect that. If your husband-to-be will be far more comfortable in a simple suit rather than a tux, then go for it. If you don't want to go for a long veil, then focus on a great hairstyle instead. You dictate the tone for the day and your attire should be a big part of that.

It's helpful to go into wedding gown shopping with some ideas but allow yourself to be open minded along the way as well. If you always wanted to look and feel like a princess, then you may find that the big flowing gown is a great fit. You also may find that you feel quite uncomfortable in that attire and are much more drawn to a simpler cut. The point is that your opinion may change after you try on some gowns and you need to go with your instincts and what makes you feel beautiful.

There's no right way to create the wedding attire. Go with your instincts and what makes you feel good as a couple. It's fun to incorporate traditional elements along the way, but there's nothing to say what those have to be. Every bride is beautiful and so too will you be even if the attire is less than traditional. So enjoy the journey to finding the dress of your dreams!
