The bridal shower is one of the most parties a woman has thrown for her during her lifetime. There is so much excitement and joy in the air because your new life is just beginning and there are tons of possibilities. The world is fresh and perfect. Bridal showers are thrown typically by the maid of honor and are meant to honor and celebrate the bride to be by giving her items that will help her set up her home and prepare for her new life. One thing that makes these even more fun is where there’s a theme. Here are some great bridal shower themes.
Kitchen/Recipes
Everyone brings kitchen themed items and a couple of their favorite recipe to start a collection for the bride to be so she has family recipes to try and cook for her husband. It’s a practical and simple theme just make sure everyone knows what colors the couple plans on using in their kitchen so things can be coordinated.
Lingerie
This is spicy and fun! Everyone brings lingerie or sexy undies for the bride to be so she has items to wear for her husband to drive him wild. Have the bride’s sizes on the invitation so her guests don’t have to guess and make her feel awkward when things don’t fit. Also you may mention that people put the receipts in the boxes or bags so she can return them if necessary.
Tea party
Be a lady and have everyone dress up in dresses, gloves and hats for a lovely afternoon tea party. The atmosphere should be all about class and the food should of course follow theme as well. Think finger sandwiches, cookies and the most important element, tea.
Pajama party
If you want a casual theme that is still tons of fun go for a pajama party. Everyone is invited to come in their pajamas and take part in a day of pampering with manicures, pedicures, facials and such. The presents can be lingerie or bedroom related or have something more tame like bed and bath lotions and other products.

I never thought I would be the crazy wedding type who would fall in love with everything about weddings. That was until I planned my own. Then it was all over, I am not obsessed with weddings. After attending, planning and being involved in numerous weddings I have learned a lot of lessons about what to do and not to do when it comes to executing the most important day of your life.
